WHICH OIL SHOULD YOU USE TO NOURISH LEATHER?
To keep leather supple, strong and waterproof, it is essential to rehydrate it regularly with a suitable fatty substance.
Contrary to popular belief, using "baby lotion" or creams is a bad idea. Although they seem satisfactory, these products are not suitable because at best they stay on the surface, and at worst they will sink more or less into the leather and clog it.
Only oils whose chemical composition is close to that of authentic "Pied de bœuf" oil will rehydrate the leather in depth and so prevent the formation of cracks or tears.
Sofolk oils are the same as those used by tanners. They are 100% natural and have a chemical composition close to that of Pied de bœuf oil. If you would like more information, follow this link.
