RésiGrain SOFOLK is a two-component water-based resin, specially formulated to recreate the grain after a repair. It must be used with a grain impression previously made using the ReproGrain grain reproduction paste or MasterGrain SOFOLK.

RésiGrain remains flexible and elastic, and is compatible with all Sofolk finishing products.

Properties

• Ultra-fine and faithful reproduction of the original grain

Instructions for use

• Preparation: clean and degrease the area with SOFOLK Cleaner / Stain Remover. Surface must be dry and grease-free.
   
• Impression: first create the grain impression using the appropriate products mentioned above
   
• Mixing: pour equal quantities (1:1) of A and B into a disposable container and mix gently to avoid excessive bubble formation.
   
• Application: wait about 3 to 4 minutes until slightly paste-like viscosity is obtained. Spread an even layer matching the thickness of the grain to be reproduced on the area to treat.
   
• Grain reproduction: quickly center and position the matrix (grain side) onto the resin. Apply even pressure for optimal molding.
   
• Removal: carefully remove the matrix after at least 8 minutes at 20°C. The resin must not stick to the matrix.
   
• Finishing: paint and protect with our paints and varnishes suited to your substrate.

TIP: grain reconstruction requires some practice to achieve an invisible repair. Work carefully and respect drying times.

Precautions for use

• Use within 3 minutes after mixing
• Do not apply on damp or greasy surfaces
• Ideal application temperature: 10 to 35 °C
• Do not dilute, do not heat with direct flame
• In case of excess application, sand with abrasive paper
