THE SOFOLK METHOD IS VERY SIMPLE AND FAST

What makes us different from other leather renovation techniques?

For leather care and renovation, the SOFOLK method was developed in 1990. It is directly inspired by leather work in tannery since we use the same raw materials (oil, pigments, varnish). 

At Sofolk, the degreasing of leather is simply done with acetone. There is no need to buy a specific degreaser/stripper that will cost you 3 to 4 times more expensive, and that could even damage the surface to be renovated if you do not use it properly.

Unlike some, our recolorant does not require any primer or color fixative, regardless of the leather* and it's not nothing!
On the other hand, it is very easy to apply : with a foam roller, brush, sponge or spray gun (nozzle 0.8 or 1mm). We can even deliver it in aerosol cans!
*Except for velvety finishes (suede and nubuck)

Finally, the drying of water-based paints adheres to the fibres of the leather. For this reason, and for more than 30 years, we have been systematically integrating in our kits, nourishing oil "Beeffoot". This oil rehydrate and lubricates the fibre mattress of the leather, thus allowing the fibres to slide over each other without sticking, preventing the formation of cracks. Your leather will thank you and its life span will be greatly extended!
