Is it possible to renovate? which products to use?

1 answers

Hello,

I am a tenant and my rabbit has kicked a chair that looks like it's made of leatherette. I would like to know if it is possible to repair / recolour it to avoid having to buy another one.

Here are three pictures to show you the extent of the damage....

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

The level of degradation of your leatherette is at the limit of repairable. To begin with, we recommend that you lightly sand the damaged areas with 240 abrasive paper and degrease them with methylated spirits. Then apply one or more thin coats of Skai Repairer. If the repair is suitable and satisfactory, it will be necessary to recolour and varnish over it to hide the repairs.
Note that we offer complete renovation kits for leatherette chairs here.
