Damaged leather how to renovate?

2 answers

Hello,

I have a sofa in Vachette flower corrected pigmented ivory sofa damaged. I don't know what to do to "get it back". I put a product to clean it but it must have removed the varnish from the leather it is all dry now...
What would you advise me to do, please?

Hello,

Don't worry, you'll be able to renovate it without any problem. First step: incorporate oil into the leather to give it back its suppleness but especially its tensile strength to avoid cracks. You will have to wait about ten days until the oil has been properly placed in the leather fibres so as not to generate recolouring because in your case you need 2 or 3 coats of recolouring agent and then varnish again. We recommend the oil "pied de boeuf", link below.
Sincerely
The SOFOLK team
