I have finally decided to make my seats and after 2 coats of dye the color does not match. It is whiter than the original.

Hello,
Sorry for the late answer but I couldn't find the time. For the shade it looks a little whiter but finally I'll deal with it. So I'm going to re-dye everything (seats and door panels). As you advised me, I didn't varnish and so my seat is all sticky. Is this normal?

Everything that has been dyed. So I remove everything with water and a sponge but it's long. I hope the next colouring will hold.

Your problem comes from a bad stripping, your recolourant does not penetrate the leather, you have to strip and not clean with water then sand the leather to open the pores which allows the recolourant to go down into the leather for a good fixing. The preparation work is longer than the recolouring but very important, you do not apply waxing but the same product as the one that originally coloured your leather.

I applied three layers to my seat. Do you think I should remove everything or just apply a last coat to the right color?
