How to change the leather from my matt steering wheel (modern leather style) to the shiny leather style of the 90s.

Nowadays most cars are delivered with matt steering wheel leathers.

It's not very appealing to me mainly for three reasons: the look, the sound to the touch and especially it's very sensitive to fat which gives a neglected appearance.

I would like to renew my steering wheel to switch to mixed full leather / perforated leather, the problem is that the box that does this only works with matt leather, what would you advise me to transform their leather into good old shiny leather?
