Hello,
When I recolour car seats in black, I have the right colour, but the appearance is brilliant while the rest of the seat is matt.
I tried to dilute the silky varnish with water without any results.
My question: How to obtain the different matt, satin and shiny aspects?

I must certainly have a glossy varnish then....
I will place an order for a matt varnish, more common in cars.

Hello,
You have not spread enough varnish to obtain the uniformity in gloss, you need 3 coats. The recolouring agent, depending on the density of the leather, can remain in certain places more on the surface and be brighter, resulting in the gloss of the varnish. By passing 3 good layers we eliminate this problem. It is the matt varnish ,satin or gloss that makes the leather matt, satin or gloss. To prevent the leather from shining when applying the satin varnish, spread the varnish with a damp sponge.
