It is difficult to say with certainty why your used sofa is sticky, however we can assume that it would have been maintained with an unsuitable product.
I recommend that you try our cleaner/stain remover, it has a high degreasing power and could probably solve your problem.
Without any result, you can try the acetone, starting with a solution diluted in 50' water, then, if necessary, in a higher concentration, taking care not to discolour the leather.
