Leather catalyst: the essential additive for long-lasting renovation

Our catalyst for leather and faux leather is a professional additive that significantly improves the performance and longevity of your renovations. Designed to be used with our water-based products, it enhances adhesion, rub resistance and water repellency on treated surfaces.

Catalyst compatibility

Silky Clear Varnish: primary use to reinforce protection and extend the lifespan of renovations.
Pigmented Recolorant: improves bond strength and the mechanical resistance of the colorant.
Adhesion Primer: increases grip on difficult substrates.

When and why use the catalyst?

Adding the catalyst is particularly recommended when:

surfaces are subject to high mechanical stress (sofa seats, car seats, steering wheels, etc.),
enhanced water repellency is required,
the project calls for a premium renovation with optimal durability.

Using it with the Silky Varnish is strongly advised for all your renovations. Depending on the substrate condition, it may also be wise to incorporate it into the Adhesion Primer and/or the Pigmented Recolorant.

Dosage and instructions

With Silky Varnish: mix up to 5% maximum by weight or volume.
With Pigmented Recolorant: mix up to 3% maximum.
With Adhesion Primer: mix up to 2% maximum.

A 20 ml bottle catalyzes about 500 ml of products (Varnish + Recolorant).

Practical tips

Once mixed, the product must be applied within 4 hours maximum.
Always respect the indicated dosages to guarantee product performance.
Water-based product, specially formulated to work only with:
- Silky Clear Varnish,
- Pigmented Recolorant,
- Adhesion Primer.
