Hello,

I have just acquired 2 club armchairs and a leather sofa.

One of the club armchairs needs a few tears repairing and has numerous dark stains (like paint or wine).

The other club armchair has the front of one of the armrests completely scratched by a cat, and other tears in a few other places.

Apart from a few tears, the sofa just needs a care treatment to moisturise and soften it.

I would like to repair the scratches, remove as many stains as possible from the leather, and nourish the leather to make it softer. What would you advise?

Hello, and thank you for submitting your project to us.

It is possible to restore your club suite, but the work is probably more extensive than you seem to suggest.

Indeed, for your suite to remain consistent, it needs to be treated as a whole, even the areas in good condition.

-Start by repositioning as much as possible the flaps lifted by the cat's claws using CicaCuir glue.

-Lightly sand all the leather and make sure you remove as much of the raised texture as possible.

-Apply the RépaCuir repair paste into the hollows.

-Apply the Pigment Leather Paint of your choice. This paint serves to mask the repairs and create a uniform base colour.

-Apply the dye of your choice. The dye is a veil of colour that combines with the colour underneath. This step allows you to artificially recreate natural-looking variations in shade.

-You then need to protect your colour with a wax and then moisturise the leather a few weeks later with our nourishing oil.
