Hello,

I had two club chairs restored by an upholsterer whose work was not satisfactory. He apparently re-dyed (or repainted) the leather.

The result is as follows:

- the leather is smooth, shiny and uniform and therefore no longer looks like a club chair

- the leather cracked after a few days

Would your products remove this layer and replenish the leather?

I no longer have the invoice, the chairs were 10 years old and had gradually faded in the light, and in some places the leather crust was damaged. The upholsterer told me about the pigmentation of the skins, I know that the chair was dismantled and the skins were bathed to clean them and then repygmented.

We have difficulty understanding this restoration, the re-coloring of the sheep basane which is the leather with which we cover a club chair is done in the mass with a dye, if repairs for cracks are necessary in this case it is necessary to make a surface re-coloring to cover the repair and add a coloring by dye to give back to the leather its aged aspect and finish with a wax to skate to give a candle touch.

This leather has been recolored so it must not have been new. In any case it is a bad recoloration... Can you send us a picture of the invoice? We will be able to better explain what you need to do when we know what has been achieved.
