Remove sebum, grease stains and halos without damaging the leather

Sebum Absorbing Powder is a professional blend based on natural Sommières clay, specially formulated by SOFOLK to extract sebum, body grease and oils embedded in smooth leathers (genuine leather). Its synergy of selected mineral powders acts by capillarity and progressive adsorption, without attacking or discoloring the leather.
In the presence of sebum, it is an essential step before any renovation, ensuring a perfectly clean and receptive surface.

100% natural product – solvent-free – non-discoloring – compatible with leather and imitation leather.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

• Leather car seats and steering wheels.
• Leather sofas, armchairs, and furniture upholstery.
• Boat, motorcycle or motorhome upholstery. Leather accessories (bags, clothing, headrests, etc.).

Do not use on suede or nubuck leathers.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE – Smooth leather degreasing protocol

Required material:

• Sebum Absorbing Powder
• Soft brush or flat paintbrush
• Vacuum cleaner with soft nozzle
• Clean and dry microfiber cloth
• Sofolk Sebum Degreasing Cleaner

Application steps:

1. Surface preparation
   First degrease using the Sofolk Sebum Cleaner following the provided instructions.
    
2. Powder application
   Sprinkle and spread generously the Sebum Absorbing Powder on the stained area.
   Leave for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight for heavily greasy zones.
   The leather can be slightly warmed (35–40 °C max) to promote sebum migration into the powder.
    
3. Powder removal
   Gently vacuum the dry powder.
   Brush lightly to remove any residue.
    
4. Final cleaning
   Use Sofolk Leather Cleaner / Stain Remover or another suitable leather cleaner to remove the last residues.
   Allow to air dry without direct heat.
    
5. Repetition
   If the sebum stain remains visible, repeat the treatment.

COVERAGE

Approx. 30–50 g/m², depending on leather saturation and applied thickness.

Do not inhale the powder.
Use only on dry leather.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store away from moisture and heat.
In case of prolonged skin contact: rinse with clear water.

SOFOLK PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

For old sebum stains (headrests, armrests, steering wheels), alternate Sebum Absorbing Powder and Sofolk Sebum Degreasing Cleaner in two or three successive cycles for optimal grease extraction before renovation.
