Optimal leather preparation before renovation and recoloring

The leather degreasing stripper is a technical product designed to prepare surfaces before recoloring. This product is a more effective alternative than acetone commonly sold in retail stores. It allows deep removal of impurities, grease and especially old protective coatings (varnish, finishes), restoring the leather to its raw state.

This product can also be used on synthetic leather, with caution. It is essential to carry out a preliminary test on an inconspicuous area and, if necessary, dilute the product with 10 to 20% water to reduce its aggressiveness.

This step is essential to ensure perfect adhesion of recoloring products. A properly prepared surface allows even color penetration and long-lasting results.

Warning : this is not a standard cleaner. Its action is deliberately strong and must be reserved for renovation operations.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

• Removes grease, sebum and embedded residues
• Removes old finishes (varnish, protective coatings)
• Prepares leather for recoloring or application of a new varnish
• Improves pigment adhesion

USES

• Renovation of leather car seats
• Restoration of sofas, armchairs and upholstery
• Preparation of leather goods or shoes before dyeing
• Can be used on synthetic leather (with prior testing and dilution if necessary)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Always test on a hidden area (especially on synthetic leather)
2. Soak a clean cloth (never apply directly on leather or synthetic leather)
3. Apply in circular motions without excessive pressure
4. Wipe with a clean cloth
5. Repeat if necessary
6. Allow to dry completely before recoloring

IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS

• Product intended for preparation before dyeing
• May cause discoloration of leather (normal effect)
• On synthetic leather: always test and dilute 10–20% with water if necessary
• Do not use for routine cleaning
• Work in small areas
• Always carry out a preliminary test

After stripping, the leather is completely unprotected. It is essential to follow with recoloring and then apply a protective varnish to ensure long-lasting results.
