Repairing a tear in a ventilated seat (with perforations)

· 1 replies · 2931 views

Hello,

Which products should I use to repair a tear (a hole) in a ventilated leather car seat, see photos.

The leather is glued onto foam and does not come away.

Thank you for your advice

Olivier

    Hello,

To repair a hole, you start by inserting a piece of leather into the hole, then glue it against the back of the leather. After this step, the hole therefore has a backing onto which the torn flaps can be glued.

In your case, because the leather is glued onto the foam, this process is not possible. You will need to glue the leather directly onto the foam using neoprene glue (available in DIY superstores). You will then fill the remaining gaps with our RépaCuir filler.

You then need to recolour and varnish your work to protect it from repeated rubbing.

We remain at your disposal, the SOFOLK support team.
