Renovation of the central rudder console

Hello,

I would like to restore the center console of my rudder, whose coating has become sticky and sensitive to scratches or snags.

I was thinking of using a kit for refurbishing car seat leatherette.

I don't know the material used but it's a kind of leatherette.

What do you think about that?

Hello,
I want to redo the grey mouse part between the carpet and the black plastic panels.
It's leatherette, when I take some parts apart, I can see that it's like a fabric glued on it.
I show you with arrows per part concerned.

All you need is the black leatherette hairspray, it comes with the degreaser, it quickly resists scratches.

Hello,
Thank you for your answer.
What will happen to the colour of the leatherette after the treatment?
Knowing that it is a little blackened from the fact that it has become soft, I eventually wanted to re-colour the leatherette so that it would be like the dashboard.

You can re-colour in any colour you want, the initial colour will no longer be visible, you can with this product cover black with white without any problem. The application with a roller is delicate because this recolouring agent is solvent based, on the other hand very easy to apply with a spray gun, pressure 2/3 bars and nozzle 0.8 to 1 mm.
