At first glance, it is indeed a full grain leather. Obviously the coloration has suffered, most probably due to repeated rubbing. To make up for this, you will have to go through a re-colouring of your entire sofa. It is not advisable to recolour only one part because it will show and the final result is unsatisfactory.
