Hello,

I would like to repair cracks on a pair of Adidas Stan Smith leather trainers (see attached photos). I ordered your leather scratch filler from you and received it a few days ago. I tried to repair the cracks by following the instructions in your tutorial video, but I am getting nowhere. I have thoroughly soaked the leather with the product, but it does not stick, however long I leave it to set.

Could you please advise me on how to proceed in this case?

Hello,

In your situation, CicaCuir used on its own is not sufficient.

Before applying anything, you must lightly sand the damaged piece of leather with 240 grit paper.

Then apply a little CicaCuir to the cracks. In your case, the product will not be used to close the cracks (because the two edges do not meet) but to prevent them from getting bigger.

Once it has dried, you need the RépaCuir paste to fill the cracks. Smooth it as much as possible, then leave it to dry.

Once it has dried, recolour with our Pigment Leather Paint to hide the repair.

Finally, apply a wax to protect your work.
