Changing the colour of a motorcycle saddle in water-repellent treated leather

· 1 replies · 5240 views

Hello,

I would like to change my saddle from brown to black. The leather has been treated with a water-repellent by the motorcycle manufacturer. Is there a paint or dye that can hold on this leather and that can be exposed to bad weather?

    Hello

For a leather that withstands harsh conditions, we recommend the black aerosol leather paint and the aerosol varnish as well. These have formulas that contain solvents, which are more durable.

As for compatibility with your water-repellent treated leather, I would not worry too much. However, start on a small area before applying it everywhere.

    Enjoy your restoration!
