Reinstalling a Stresless sofa

Hello,

I would like to re-dye a Stresless sofa (old: 7 to 8 years old) to change it from Bordeau to a light shade (light grey, beige, etc...).

Is it possible to switch from dark to light and what is the lifetime of the hue? Thank you in advance for your answer.
