Nourishing oil on steering wheel

Hello,
can we apply nourishing oil to the steering wheel before applying the varnish? I see there's none in the steering wheel renovation kit, maybe because it makes it too slippery or too greasy.

Hello,

The leather that wraps a steering wheel does not undergo traction because it is well stretched or no risk of tearing or cracking due to traction, just friction wear, so it is not necessary to grease it but the cleaning and protection ( varnish) is to be renewed once a year.
