Installation of the new shade

hello I received the new shade and I thank you for sending it to me. after starting all over again the result is still not conclusive I have made a test on a piece of wood of the 2 shades next to each other they look identical (see photo) and I would even say that the result on the wood is closer to my original shade than when I apply the shade on the leather (2 shades and 2 coats varnish). I do not understand why this result.
